Life on Mars
Life on Mars
outside is danger
We can still go out with gear
It just takes more.
I don’t trust myself nor the hour of the day
Which I thought was 11.
We have supplies. Enough to last.
Enough, a new necessity.
I thought I heard voices but they were just memories
I miss
What will it be like when we land?
My anticipation is more annoying than helpful
Mutiny within
What is it? I keep asking
Constantly checking my email for command
Let the news tell me so I don’t have to put it together
A puzzle already built
Jung said we judge because it’s easy and use it to deflect thinking
And now we’re all alone with our thoughts
Like strangers making small talk.
